The quality control is usually defined as the ability of a product or service to satisfy a given set of requirements identified in the specifications.

True quality control, in a construction project constitutes, constant physical supervision / monitoring, timely field /lab testing of materials and strict adherence of construction  procedures – ensuring technically sound, architecturally designed, civil engineering structures that are not only safe for use but also fosters an ambiance – encouraging learning, prosperity and social advancements. Construction engineers should strictly follow the quality assurance plan so that structures should be safe sound, as well as reduces the maintenance cost and durability of structures.

The quality control aspect of “Multipurpose Disaster Shelter Project” funded by World Bank which is implemented by Local Government Engineering Department is extensively defined in the “BIDDING DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF WORKS (ICB) VOLUME II of IV (PART 1 of 3)- Specifications for Building”.
